Its primary function is a powerful 130 decibel siren, a sound level capable of drawing significant attention in public or residential areas. The device is sized for easy portability at 86mm by 30mm by 20mm, making it suitable for attachment to bags, keychains, or simply carrying in a pocket or hand. Available in multiple colours, it offers a choice to match personal preference while maintaining its core function as a reliable safety tool for women, girls, and anyone seeking an added layer of security during travel, commuting, or nighttime activities.

Features and Construction

This safety alarm integrates several key features focused on reliability and user accessibility. Its construction prioritises a balance between durability and portability, using materials suited for everyday carry.

Material and Build

The alarm housing is manufactured from ABS plastic, a thermoplastic polymer known for its good impact resistance and rigidity. This choice of material helps protect the internal components from minor bumps and drops encountered during daily use. The build is centred around a simple activation mechanism to ensure the alarm can be triggered quickly and without complication in a stressful situation.

Size and Practical Fit

With dimensions of 86mm in length, 30mm in width, and a depth of 20mm, the alarm is deliberately compact. This size profile makes it unobtrusive and easy to integrate into daily carry routines. It can be clipped onto a backpack, attached to a keyring, or slipped into a coat pocket, ensuring it is readily accessible without being cumbersome. The lightweight nature of the ABS construction further enhances its portability.

Uses and Placement

The primary use case for this product is to provide a personal security alert. Its design supports a variety of scenarios where an individual might feel vulnerable or wish to have a deterrent readily available.

Event or Professional Use

For professionals working late hours, event staff, or individuals in roles that involve solo travel or client visits, carrying a personal alarm adds a layer of security. The 130 dB siren can disrupt a potential threat and attract the attention of colleagues or the public. Its discrete size allows it to be carried on a lanyard or in a uniform pocket without interfering with professional duties.

Everyday Home Use

For everyday scenarios, the alarm is suited for students walking to and from campus, commuters using public transport, joggers, or dog walkers, especially during early mornings or evenings. It serves as a practical tool for anyone seeking reassurance during routine activities. The included LED light function, offering up to 20 hours of runtime, also provides practical utility for finding keys in the dark or adding visibility when walking on unlit paths.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this product lies in its specific, measurable performance and straightforward utility. It provides a defined function without unnecessary complexity.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The product is designed for repeated use, with a battery that supports extended operation—6 hours for the alarm and 20 hours for the light. This longevity means it can be relied upon over multiple incidents or during prolonged periods of need without immediate battery failure. Maintenance is minimal, primarily involving keeping the device clean and ensuring the battery is charged to maintain its specified performance durations.
