Canvas Spaceman Wall Painting with Optional Bedside Lamp for Children's Rooms

This canvas wall painting brings a playful spaceman motif to a child's bedroom, combining decorative art with practical lighting. The design solves the common need for a soft, space-saving night light that doesn't occupy bedside table space. Available with or without an integrated lamp, it suits various room setups and age groups. The painting prints on canvas with a frameless MDF backing for a clean, contemporary look. Three sizes and three spaceman pattern options allow customisation to fit different wall spaces and personal taste.

Features and Construction

This wall painting is built around simple materials and a clear function: to provide wall decor that can also serve as a low-level light source. The construction uses a canvas print over an MDF board, with no frame to keep the profile slim and modern.

Material and Build

The printed image uses canvas as the surface material, giving a matte, textured look that works well for illustrated spaceman designs. The backing is MDF (medium density fibreboard), a stable, lightweight board that holds the canvas flat and prevents warping in normal room conditions. The frameless style means the image extends to the edges, offering a continuous printed surface without a border.

Size and Practical Fit

Three sizes are available: small (30 x 36 cm), medium (40 x 48 cm), and large (50 x 60 cm). Each size comes in a no-light version and a version with integrated USB-powered lights. The small size suits narrow wall gaps or above a single bed, while the medium and large sizes work above a double bed, desk, or play area. The unframed design keeps the depth minimal, allowing the painting to sit flush against the wall.

Uses and Placement

This product serves both as a decorative piece and a functional light source. Its spaceman theme fits a children's room, nursery, or playroom, but it can also be used in a themed home office or gaming area. The lamp function is designed as a bedside or accent light, not a main room light.

Event or Professional Use

While aimed at home use, the design also works for themed events such as space-themed birthday parties, nursery decoration, or school play areas. The USB-powered light version can be plugged into a power bank, making it portable for temporary setups without permanent wiring. The three pattern variations (Spaceman A, B, C) offer different spaceman illustrations, allowing event organisers to match a specific colour or style.

Everyday Home Use

In a child's bedroom, the painting provides a focal point above the bed or changing table. The light version acts as a night light that switches on without taking up floor or table space. The 1.5-metre USB cable is long enough to reach most bedside power outlets or USB adapters. Parents may appreciate that the light is built into the artwork, reducing clutter compared to a separate lamp.

Benefits and Buying Value

The main advantage of this product is its dual function: it is a decorative canvas print that also provides low-level lighting. This combination can reduce the number of separate items needed in a small room. The MDF backing and canvas print are straightforward to maintain.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The canvas surface can be cleaned with a dry cloth to remove dust. The MDF board is stable and does not require special treatment in a normal indoor environment. The USB-powered light uses standard LED bulbs (integrated) that typically last for many hours of use; if the light stops working, only the lamp element needs replacement, not the whole painting.

Why Choose This Product

For parents looking for a space-themed decor item that also reduces bedside clutter, this product offers a practical two-in-one solution. The choice of three sizes means it fits single beds, double beds, or wall alcoves. The three pattern options give variety without requiring multiple purchases. The light version adds a gentle glow suitable for bedtime reading or night-time reassurance, powered by a standard USB connection.
