Custard Cute Custom Keycap Set for 68%, 75%, 98%, and 100% Mechanical Keyboards

This keycap set is designed to refresh the look of a broad range of mechanical keyboards, specifically those with 68, 75, 98, or 100 key column layouts. The central feature is the 'Custard Cute' themed design, which provides a distinct visual character separate from standard keycap sets. It is supplied as a complete, ready-to-install set, allowing users to replace their stock keycaps without needing to source individual keys. The available colour options—Mouse My Grey XDA, Mouse My Yellow XDA, and Mouse My Grey—offer a choice between different tonal aesthetics to match various desk setups or personal preferences.

Features and Construction

The product is defined by its compatibility, theme, and material construction. It is presented as a direct replacement accessory for mechanical keyboard enthusiasts or users seeking a visual update.

Material and Build

The keycaps are made from plastic, as confirmed by the source information. This is a common material for keycaps, contributing to a standard weight and sound profile during typing. No specific sub-type of plastic (such as ABS or PBT) or details about double-shot moulding or legends are provided, so performance claims regarding durability or texture cannot be made. The construction is based on the standard keycap profile and stem design compatible with Cherry MX-style switches and their clones.

Size and Practical Fit

The primary practical specification is its wide compatibility. The set is confirmed to fit keyboards with 68%, 75%, 98%, and 100% column layouts. This covers many popular compact, tenkeyless, and full-sized mechanical keyboards on the market, increasing its potential user base. The packaged dimensions are 20cm long by 5cm wide by 3cm deep, indicating the physical space the boxed product occupies for storage or shipping purposes.

Uses and Placement

This keycap set serves a specific function within the mechanical keyboard ecosystem, focusing on aesthetics and personalisation.

Event or Professional Use

For streamers, content creators, or professionals who have their workspace on camera, a distinctive keyboard can act as a visual accent. The Custard Cute theme and choice of colours can help a setup stand out or maintain a specific colour-coordinated look. It provides a simple way to customise a peripheral that is often in frame without modifying the keyboard's internal electronics or functionality.

Everyday Home Use

For daily typing, whether for work, study, or gaming, changing keycaps is one of the most accessible forms of keyboard modification. This set allows users to refresh an older keyboard's appearance or personalise a new one to better suit their taste. The compatibility with several layout sizes means it can be used on a primary desktop keyboard or a more portable compact board used with a laptop.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this product lies in its specific design theme, colour options, and confirmed layout compatibility.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

Keycaps are inherently reusable; they can be removed from one compatible keyboard and installed on another. As plastic components, their maintenance is straightforward—typically involving removal for dusting or a gentle wipe with a damp cloth. The value is tied to the longevity of the design's appeal to the user and the physical longevity inherent in plastic components under normal typing conditions.

Why Choose This Product

This set is a match for users specifically searching for the Custard Cute aesthetic or those needing keycaps verified to fit 68%, 75%, 98%, or 100% column layouts. The choice between three colour variants (Mouse My Grey XDA, Mouse My Yellow XDA, Mouse My Grey) provides a level of customisation. It represents a straightforward upgrade path for the visual aspect of a mechanical keyboard, relying on its stated compatibility and theme rather than unsupported claims about material performance.
