Aluminium alloy laptop side mount bracket for connecting phones and tablets

This bracket is designed to mount a smartphone or tablet to the side of your laptop screen, creating an extended, multi-display workspace without the need for a separate monitor. It addresses the common need to reference a secondary device while working on a primary screen, eliminating the need to constantly look down at a phone placed on the desk. By holding your mobile device at screen level, it can help improve posture and workflow efficiency for tasks like cross-referencing documents, video calls, or multi-tasking between applications. The product is specified as a ‘lazy bracket’, indicating its role in simplifying your desk setup.

Features and Construction

The core of this bracket is its aluminium alloy construction, which provides a balance of strength and low weight. This material choice contributes to a stable platform that can securely hold your device without adding significant bulk or weight to your laptop bag, supporting its portable design.

Material and Build

The frame is made from aluminium alloy, noted for being durable and firm. This ensures the bracket maintains its shape and provides a stable base for your phone or tablet. The build incorporates a foldable mechanism, allowing the unit to collapse down into a more compact form. This, combined with its lightweight nature, makes it practical for users who need a portable accessory for home, office, or on-the-go use.

Size and Practical Fit

While exact dimensions are not listed, the source emphasises a small, lightweight, and foldable design, indicating it is engineered for portability. It is described as a common bracket suitable for notebooks and tablets, suggesting a universal fit for most standard laptops. The adjustable arm and magnetic attachment system allow you to fine-tune the position and angle of your mounted device to suit your specific laptop size and preferred viewing height.

Uses and Placement

This bracket is applicable for computer-based scenarios, primarily enhancing a home office or study environment. It turns a standard laptop into a more versatile workstation by physically integrating a secondary screen.

Event or Professional Use

For professional or focused work sessions, the bracket creates a flat, multi-screen experience. It allows you to keep reference materials, communication apps, or monitoring tools visible on your tablet or phone screen while working on the main laptop display. This can aid productivity by reducing window switching and keeping all necessary information in your immediate sightline, which is particularly useful for data analysis, coding, writing, or remote support roles.

Everyday Home Use

In everyday home computing, the bracket supports leisure activities alongside work. It can hold a tablet for following a recipe in the kitchen, a smartphone for watching a video tutorial while working on a DIY project, or a second device for social media while gaming on the laptop. The reserved charging port is a key feature here, enabling you to keep your device powered during extended use for movies, video calls, or gaming sessions without worrying about battery drain.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this accessory lies in its practical solution to device clutter and its potential to improve ergonomics and workflow, all within a simple, reusable package.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

As a mechanical accessory with no electronics of its own, it is built for reuse across different devices and laptops over time. The aluminium alloy construction requires minimal upkeep; a simple wipe with a dry cloth will keep it clean. Its durability means it is not a disposable item but a lasting tool for your desk.

Why Choose This Product

Choose this bracket for a straightforward, hardware-based approach to a multi-screen setup. It offers a specific advantage over software-based solutions or simply placing a device on the desk: it physically elevates and aligns your secondary screen with your primary one. The combination of aluminium build, magnetic attachment, angle adjustment, and pass-through charging addresses several practical needs in one compact unit, making it a considered choice for anyone regularly using a phone or tablet alongside their laptop.
