Cowhide Dog Walking Lead for Medium and Large Dogs in Four Lengths

This cowhide dog walking lead is a leather traction rope designed for owners of medium and large dogs. It comes in black or light brown and in four length and width options: 120cm x 1.2cm, 160cm x 1.2cm, 210cm x 1.2cm, and 260cm x 1.2cm. The source describes it as a thickened cowhide strip, which indicates a leather lead rather than a fabric or chain type. It is aimed at breeds such as the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd, and it works as a straightforward walking rope for routine walks, training, or general handling. Each pack contains one traction rope, so you can select the colour and length that best fit your dog and your usual walking environment.

Features and Construction

The lead is built around a cowhide leather strip. The available information covers the material, colour options, and measurements, so this section focuses on those practical details rather than making claims about hardware or weather resistance that are not stated.

Material and Build

The stated material is leather, described in the product name as cowhide. It is presented as a thickened strip, which suggests a lead made from a solid length of leather rather than a woven rope or chain. The lead is supplied as a single traction rope, and no additional fittings, buckles, or stitching details are given in the source text. This means the product is best understood as a leather walking rope for medium and large dogs, suited to owners who prefer a cowhide lead over other lead materials. The black and light brown colour choices give two neutral options for everyday use.

Size and Practical Fit

Four size options are available, all with a 1.2cm width and lengths of 120cm, 160cm, 210cm, or 260cm. A shorter lead can suit closer heel work or crowded areas, while a longer lead can give a dog more room to move on open walks. The 1.2cm width is consistent across all four options, so the choice is mainly about length. Because the source lists both length and width for each option, you can compare the sizes directly before choosing. The lead is intended for medium and large dogs, including the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd named in the product title.

Uses and Placement

This lead is intended for walking and handling medium to large dogs. The source does not specify particular training methods or outdoor conditions, so the guidance here stays with general walking and training use based on the stated product type and sizes.

Event or Professional Use

For handlers who need a leather lead for training sessions, the four length options allow a choice based on the type of work. A 120cm or 160cm lead may suit controlled walking and close handling, while a 210cm or 260cm lead may be preferred where more distance is useful. The cowhide strip construction and 1.2cm width are the main stated features, and the lead is described for medium and large dogs. No claims are made about professional certification, specific training disciplines, or working-dog standards, so it is best treated as a general-purpose leather walking rope.

Everyday Home Use

For daily walks around the neighbourhood, this cowhide lead gives a simple option in black or light brown. The choice of 120cm, 160cm, 210cm, or 260cm lets you match the lead to your usual route and your dog's size. The source identifies the product as a traction rope for medium and large dogs, with Golden Retriever and German Shepherd given as examples. It is supplied as one rope per pack. No details are provided about reflective elements, padding, or additional attachments, so the lead should be seen as a straightforward leather walking rope and nothing more.

Benefits and Buying Value

The main practical value here is the combination of a cowhide leather strip, two colour choices, and four length options in one product line. The source does not include price comparisons, warranty information, or performance ratings, so the benefits described are limited to what the specification supports.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

As a leather lead, the cowhide strip is a reusable walking item rather than a disposable one. The source does not provide care instructions, so only basic, low-risk guidance applies: check the lead before use, keep it dry, and store it away from damp conditions when not in use. The 1.2cm width and the four length options mean the same lead style can be used across different walking situations, depending on which size you choose. No claims are made about waterproofing, abrasion resistance, or lifespan, so these points are not included.

Why Choose This Product

This lead may suit you if you want a cowhide leather walking rope for a medium or large dog and you prefer a choice of black or light brown. The four sizes, 120cm x 1.2cm, 160cm x 1.2cm, 210cm x 1.2cm, and 260cm x 1.2cm, allow you to select a length that fits your handling style. The product is described for breeds such as the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd. Each pack contains one traction rope. If you need details on buckles, clips, or care beyond the stated leather material, those are not covered in the source information.
